Our
beach cottage is on the East
Coast south of Dunedin City, in New Zealand’s South Island - (view map).
It is situated on the
Southern Scenic Route at Kuri Bush - (view map)
,
a settlement of just a few homes, 35 minutes drive from the City Centre. Our cottage is right next to the beach. You will love the rock pools, the sea life, the golden sand, the creek and the roar of the surf. |
| Cosy and north facing, the cottage has a big private garden and wonderful coastal views. Basic comfortable facilities include: log burner, equipped kitchen, washing machine, shower, outside flush loo. There are two bedrooms (1st: double bed +single; 2nd: twin) and a sunroom which also has a double bed. |
| Kuri Bush has numerous walks and points of interest nearby. It is five minutes drive to Taieri Mouth for fresh fish straight from the fishing boats. The resort community of Brighton (and nearest store) is 10 minutes drive away. A golf course is 15 minutes away, as is Lake Waihola, and the swan colony near Waldronville. |
| Our bach is a home away from home for us and it is available for rent most months of the year, when we are not there. We have a minimum two-night stay for guests, and a no smoking policy inside. The rates: NZ$80 per night for two people; NZ$20 per night per extra person. |
